Cleanings & Exams That Start With You
No lectures. No surprises. Just a closer look.

What a Cleaning Actually Looks Like
Maybe it's been a while. Maybe you're not sure what to expect, or a past experience left you dreading the whole thing. Whatever brought you here, you're in the right place — and we want you to know exactly what walking through our door actually looks like.
At Cornerstone Family Dental, a cleaning and exam isn't just a box to check. It's how we get to know you. We start by taking your blood pressure — not as a formality, but because your mouth is part of your body, and we pay attention to all of it. From there, we take a careful look at your teeth, gums, and surrounding tissue using digital X-rays and, when needed, our cone beam CT scanner — tools that let us see what's happening clearly, so we can explain it clearly too.
Your hygienist will gently remove buildup that brushing and flossing can't reach on their own, and Dr. Dosch or Dr. Pittman will review everything with you in plain language. What we're seeing. What it means. What your options are. If something needs attention, we'll tell you honestly — and then we'll let you decide what happens next. No pressure, no upselling, no sudden treatment plan that catches you off guard.
Most appointments take about an hour. If you have anxiety about any part of the visit, just tell us. We can slow down, explain each step before we do it, or talk through comfort options like headphones or sedation. You're in control of the pace — that's not something we say to be polite, it's how we actually run the appointment.
Whether you're coming in for the first time or returning after years away, a cleaning and exam at Cornerstone is a conversation as much as it is a clinical visit. We want you to leave knowing more about your own mouth than when you walked in — and feeling okay about coming back.
